Afghanistan

Since 2001, HIA has been implementing humanitarian and development programmes in the country devastated by war for decades. In addition to humanitarian aid, our objective is to achieve, through our permanent local office, long-term sustainable results in the areas of education, rural development, public administration development, health and capacity building. In partnership with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), we deliver thousands of tons of food each year through “food for work” programmes to those in need. In the complex food programmes, we help the population to make a long-term sustainable living through income-generating training, agricultural, water management and infrastructural developments. In addition to implementing aid and development programmes, our office in Mazar-I-Sharif in the North of the country also performs intensive coordination throughout the year.
